The Pure Company

The Pure Company (TPC) was established in 2005 with the principal objective of sourcing good quality shea nuts from the rural communities to produce the best quality purified, natural shea butter. TPC, in collaboration with an NGO --RIDE -- is working with over 2,300 rural women who collect, cure and sell shea nuts to the processing plant. TPC assists the rural women in capacity building to improve the quality of nuts and prepares them for Organic and FairWild Certification which guarantees the women premium prices for the produce. The processing plant is located at Benkrom, by the Black Volta River, in northern Brong Ahafo. Company founders have collaborated with German engineering professionals to a integrate top quality stainless steel equipment and chemical-free organic processes to produce top quality Shea Butter for the world industry of cosmetics and food. The plant has capability of processing 20,000 tons of top quality purified, natural Shea Butter.
